Lioness Bethany England supplied an assist for the key opening goal as Chelsea moved closer to the FA Women’s Super League title. Her side beat Abbie McManus’ Tottenham Hotspur 2-0, and now sit two points clear at the summit going into the final fixture.
Saturday
Liam Kitching made his EFL Championship debut for Barnsley. The 21 year old centre-back made a substitute appearance as his side drew 2-2 with newly crowned Champions Norwich City.
There was agony for Jamie Lindsay’s Rotherham United in their quest to remain in the Championship. A late Cardiff City equaliser denied them victory in a game that ended 1-1. ‘The Millers’ will re-group and be ready to bounce straight back from League One.
Bolton Wanderers confirmed their promotion to League One with an emphatic 4-1 victory at Crawley Town. Right-back Gethin Jones provided the assist for their second goal.
Young prospects Jack Evans and Freddie Price made late substitute appearances as their clubs secured League Two play-off places. Jack’s Forest Green Rovers beat Oldham Athletic 3-0 at Boundary Park, while Freddie’s Morecambe side won 2-0 after their home game with Bradford City.
In Scotland; Martin Boyle has reached the Scottish FA Cup Final. His Hibernian team beat fellow SPL side Dundee United 2-0 with the Australian International supplying yet another assist.

Elliot Lee scored with a first half finish as Oxford United trounced Burton Albion 4-0. ‘The U’s ‘ will now face Blackpool in the League One play-off semi-final.
Gillingham ended their season with a win thanks to Olly Lee’s first half assist. His team beat Plymouth Argyle 1-0 at the Priestfield Stadium.
Callum Lang claimed an assist, but couldn’t prevent Wigan Athletic slipping to a 4-3 home defeat against Swindon Town.
Rochdale concluded their League Two campaign at MK Dons. Aaron Morley’s clever free-kick sent his side on their way to a comfortable 3-0 win.

Elsewhere in the WSL; Chloe Arthur’s Aston Villa collected a point following their goalless draw at Arsenal and affirmed their league status for next Season. Unfortunately, Bristol City were relegated to the Championship despite the best efforts of Faye Bryson and Emma Bissell. #FullNinetyFamily
