Telford United new boy Mace Goodridge showed his credentials with a brilliant strike from 18 yards to open the scoring. His side slipped to a 4-1 defeat at Gateshead in the National League North.

Lionesses Ella Toone and Bethany England will go head-to-head in the Continental Cup Semi-Final. Ella’s Manchester United beat Arsenal 1-0 and Beth’s Chelsea won 4-2 at London rivals Tottenham in the last eight.

A Declan McManus double fired The New Saints to victory in the Welsh Premier League. They beat Connah’s Quay 3-1 to cement their position at the top of the table.

In the Scottish Cup; Barrie McKay assisted the opening goal for Hearts who thumped Auchinleck Talbot 5-0 to progress into the fifth round.
At The Valley; Charlton Athletic beat Fleetwood 2-0 with Elliot Lee featuring.
Gethin Jones and Aaron Morley guided Bolton to victory thanks to a 1-0 win at Shrewsbury.
Also in League One; Jamie Lindsay made a substitute appearance for Rotherham who claimed a narrow 1-0 win against Cheltenham.
A long-range strike from Toby Mullarkey put Altrincham into a first half lead, but were squeezed out 2-1 by Torquay United.
Midfield star Mace Goodridge scored twice to make it 3 goals in 2 games for AFC Telford United. They trounced Darlington 5-0 at New Bucks Head.
AFC Fylde trio Jamie Stott, Dan Pike and Jack Evans galvanised the Coasters to victory in the National League North. They beat Guiseley 2-1 at Mill Farm.

Ella Toone made another telling contribution for Manchester United in the WSL. She provided an assist in the 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur, which was United’s sixth straight win.
Abbie McManus went up against fellow Full Ninety player Chloe Arthur. Chloe’s Aston Villa came out on top with a 2-1 over Leicester City.
Reading came from two goals down to claim a memorable 3-2 win against Birmingham City, with Faye Bryson notching an assist.
