Underpinned at the back by Tylor Golden and Jamie Stott, Halifax continued their run of form with a 3-1 win against Dorking in the National League. Tylor scored the pick of the goals after beating three men inside the box and calmly slotting home.
Ben Tollitt’s late strike wasn’t quite enough for Oldham Athletic who were undone 2-1 at Boreham Wood.
Hereford had to settle for a point after drawing 1-1 with Chorley. Ryan McLean and Jack Evans featured for them.

Lioness Ella Toone got a late run out for Manchester United in the Conti Cup. They dispatched Everton 4-2. United have fielded a much changed side for the competition and exit after the group stages.
Saturday
Fresh from the World Cup, Harry Souttar went straight back into domestic action for Stoke City. Striker Tyrese Campbell scored a first half goal as ‘The Potters’ drew 2-2 with Cardiff City at the Bet365 Stadium.
Callum Lang provided an assist for Wigan Athletic at The New Den. His side played out an entertaining 1-1 draw with Millwall.
Scotsman Jamie Lindsay was in the starting line up for Rotherham United in the EFL Championship. The Millers slipped to a 3-1 defeat to Bristol City.
Captain Gethin Jones supplied an assist to get Bolton back on track after going a goal behind at Shrewsbury. Wanderers lost the League One game 3-2.
Wrexham’s star man Elliot Lee scored the winning goal as the Welsh outfit won 2-0 at Eastleigh.
Sunday
The big WSL game was in Manchester as City faced United in the local derby. Ella Toone claimed an assist for United in the 1-1 draw.
Lizzie Arnot’s wonder strike for Rangers was the highlight in the SWPL League Cup Final. The Glasgow giants won 2-0 against Hibernian at Tynecastle Park.
