Monday

Last week’s performances for Salford City saw Luke Bolton recognised by the EFL. The former Manchester City academy graduate was named in the League Two ‘Team of the Week’. Congratulations Bolts, keep up the good work!

The New Saints edged closer to retaining their Welsh Premier League title thanks to a 2-1 home win over Bala Town. Declan McManus and Dan Williams both completed the 90 minutes at Park Hall.

Tuesday

Stoke City gained a credible 1-1 draw at Championship form side Middlesbrough. Tyrese Campbell’s men can count themselves a little unlucky not to claim all 3 points.

Callum Lang’s second half introduction turned the tide for Wigan Athletic. They rescued a point against Coventry City at the DW Stadium (1-1).

Rotherham United suffered a narrow 1-0 loss against Preston North End. Jamie Lindsay got a late run out at the New York Stadium.

Ronan Darcy completed the 90 minutes for Swindon Town during the goalless draw at Walsall.

Michael Folivi scored again for Chelmsford. His equaliser sent City on their way to a 2-1 win at Concord Rangers.

Wednesday

Tottenham welcomed Leicester City to Brisbane Road in the WSL. Bethany England scored the only goal with a fantastic strike to take all 3 points. Hannah Cain put on a great performance for the visitors.

Friday

Bolton Wanderers came away from Hillsborough with a credible point after drawing 1-1 with Sheffield Wednesday. Gethin Jones supplied the key assist, while midfielder Aaron Morley made a substitute appearance.

The New Saints clinched the Welsh Premier League title after drawing 0-0 at Connah’s Quay Nomads. Declan McManus and Dan Williams battled for the result, with 18 year old Josh Williams continuing his development for the hosts.

Saturday

Leicester City collected a welcome point after visiting Brentford in the Premier League. Defensive lynchpin Harry Souttar played a crucial role in securing a 1-1 draw.

Callum Lang hauled his Wigan Athletic side back into the game by supplying the assist in the 1-1 draw at Watford.

Also in the EFL Championship; Tyrese Campbell’s Stoke City drew 0-0 with Norwich City at the Bet365 Stadium.

Barrie McKay suffered a disappointing result at Aberdeen. Hearts lost 3-0 in the SPL.

A late goal at Adams Park gave Barnsley all 3 points against Wycombe Wanderers. Liam Kitching gave another defensive master class, helping to push his side into 4th place in League One.

Luke Bolton continued his rich vein of form for Salford. He scored a brace at the Peninsula Stadium and claimed the ‘Man of the Match’ award, as City beat Doncaster Rovers 3-1.

Toby Mullarkey and Ronan Darcy both played their part in a barnstormer of a game at the Crown Oil Arena. Rochdale drew 4-4 with Swindon Town.

Ed Francis is settling in to life at Gateshead. He completed another 90 minutes of action in the 1-1 draw with Torquay.

Halifax drew 1-1 in their home fixture with Yeovil. Tylor Golden and Jamie Stott both made appearances at the Shay Stadium.

Chelmsford City beat Worthing 4-2 with Michael Folivi scoring his third goal since moving to the Melbourne Stadium.

Also celebrating was Dan Pike who completed the 90 minutes at Alfreton. His AFC Fylde side came away with a 1-0 win in the National League North.

Sunday

Manchester United saw off Lewes in the Women’s FA Cup Quarter-Final. Ella Toone entered the fray as a half-time substitute with ‘The Red Devils’ winning 3-1. 

In the Superligaen; Theo Sander was unable to prevent AaB falling to another 0-1 defeat at home to Randers. #FullNinetyFamily
