Tuesday

Rotherham United collected another point in the EFL Championship. Jamie Lindsay’s men drew 0-0 at Preston North End.

Defender Liam Kitching kept the back door shut for Barnsley who went on to beat Bristol Rovers 3-0 at Oakwell.

Gethin Jones and Aaron Morley were again key players for Bolton Wanderers. They edged out Morecambe 1-0 and occupy fourth place in the League One table following their unbeaten start.

Luke Bolton fired Salford City into a second half lead at Newport County with a strike from the edge of the box. He followed up moments later with a deflected goal to give his side a two goal cushion. ‘The Ammies’ went on to claim the three points thanks to a 3-2 victory. Luke’s performance was formally recognised when he was named in the SkyBetLeague Two Team of Midweek. 

In the National League; Oldham Athletic man of the moment Ben Tollitt scored again but it wasn’t quiet enough to prevent a 2-1 loss against Wealdstone. There was also a draw  for Ed Francis’ Notts County.

Mace Goodridge showed his quality with a 25 yard finish for his new club Buxton during the 1-1 draw with Leamington in the National League North. 

The FullNinety contingent at Hereford dug out a narrow 1-0 win at Chester City. A big well done to Jack Evans, Brad Wade, Ryan McLean and Aaron Holloway. 

Wednesday 

Tyrese Campbell’s introduction as a second half substitute inspired Stoke City to grab a point during the 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough. 

Thursday

Hearts took on Zurich in Austria in Europa League qualifying. Barrie McKay’s men will be confident of overturning a 2-1 first leg deficit in the return at Tynecastle.

Friday 

Ball playing centre-back Tom Grivosti gave another top performance for St Patrick’s Athletic in the Irish Premier League. They secured a 2-1 away win at UCD. 

Saturday

Martin Boyle made his first start for Hibernian since returning from Saudi Arabia. Hibs took on Rangers at Easter Road with Martin netting a goal in an action packed 2-2 draw.

Callum Lang and his teammates had to battle for 80 minutes with 10 men away at Birmingham City. Wigan grabbed the 3 points thanks to a late winner (1-0). 

In League Two; Ronan Darcy completed an impressive 90 minutes with his new club as Swindon Town beating Rochdale 3-0.

National League side Altrincham drew 2-2 with Yeovil. Toby Mullarkey got on the scoresheet at Moss Lane.  

Hereford dispatched Buxton 2-0 at Edgar Street in the National League North. Brad, Jack, Ryan and Aaron all featured for the home side. Mace Goodridge was unlucky to be on the losing side after a fine display.

Sunday

On fire striker Lizzie Arnot scored again for Rangers in UEFA Champions League Qualifying. The Glasgow giants beat PAOK 4-0 in Greece. 

Chloe Arthur was instrumental in Crystal Palace winning their Championship opener, whilst a Birmingham side with Martha Harris and Tara Bourne in defence kept a clean sheet in a goalless draw against Lewes. #FullNinetyFamily
