In League One; Liam Kitching’s Barnsley collected a valuable point in their quest for promotion. They drew 0-0 at Lincoln City.

Aaron Morley and Gethin Jones battled to a 1-1 draw for Bolton Wanderers. Jonny Smith made a starting appearance for Burton in the match at the Pirelli Stadium.

Northampton Town cemented their place in League Two’s automatic promotion spots with a 2-1 win at Sutton United. David Norman Jr. made another appearance since his permanent move.

Former Manchester City academy graduate Luke Bolton completed 90 minutes of action at the Peninsular Stadium. Salford City beat Hartlepool 2-0.

Elliot Lee’s Wrexham took another huge step towards the EFL, thanks to their 33rd league win of the season. They beat Yeovil 3-0 and just need one more victory to guarantee the National League title.

Ben Tollitt returned from injury to make a substitute appearance for Oldham Athletic, who beat Southend United 2-0 at Boundary Park.

Collecting draws in the National League were Jamie Stott’s Halifax and Ed Francis’ Gateshead.

Wednesday

Manchester United got back to WSL action after their FA Cup semi-final win at the weekend. Arsenal were the visitors to Leigh Sports Village. A solitary goal in first half stoppage time was enough for Ella Toone’s side to extend their lead at the top of the table.

Saturday

The lunchtime game in Scotland took place at Tynecastle Park, with Hearts hosting Ross County. Barrie McKay’s side returned to top form, demolishing their opponents 6-1 in the SPL.

Harry Souttar was an unused Substitute as ‘The Foxes’ beat visitors Wolves 2-1 to ease their Premier League relegation worries.

Wigan Athletic dug out a vital win in their quest for EFL Championship survival. Callum Lang supplied the crucial late assist to secure a 2-1 home win against Millwall.

Tyrese Campbell completed the 90 minutes for Stoke City in their tight 1-1 draw at Cardiff City.

A Luke Bolton assist helped Salford stage another dramatic late show at Walsall. They won 3-2 to enhance their promotion chances.

Ronan Darcy’s capped off his late cameo by converting a penalty-kick as his Swindon Town side hammered Wimbledon 5-1 away from home.

Declan McManus scored a brace at Park Hall as The New Saints beat Connah’s Quay Nomads 4-1. This took him to a record breaking tally of 30 Cymru Premier League goals in a single season.

Wrexham’s 3-1 victory over Boreham Wood clinched the National League title at the Racecourse Ground. Star man Elliot Lee scored the equaliser to cancel out the visitors’ shock opener. Congratulations to The Red Dragons who will rejoin the EFL next season.

Jamie Stott and Tylor Golden came away from Dagenham & Redbridge with a point after Halifax’s goalless draw.

Sunday

In the FA Women’s Super League; Bethany England scored again for Tottenham. Spurs conceded two early goals, but rescued a 3-3 draw with Aston Villa.

Two second half goals were enough for Taylor Hinds’ Liverpool to overcome Brighton 2-1 at Prenton Park. #FullNinetyFamily
