Australia made light work of their World Cup qualifying match against Lebanon. Harry Souttar and Gethin Jones both featured in the 5-0 victory in Canberra.
Gateshead hit top form as we enter the business end of the National League season. Ed Francis supplied two assists in the 7-1 mauling of North East rivals Hartlepool.

Liam Kitching marshalled the Coventry City defence atHuddersfield Town, where ‘The Sky Blues’ edge towards theEFL Championship play-off places following a 3-1 win.
Also in the second tier; Jamie Lindsay’s Rotherham United suffered a 3-0 loss at Preston North End, and Tyrese Campbell was an unused substitute in Stoke City’s 2-0 success at Hull City.
Bolton Wanderers picked up another useful point with a goalless draw at Stevenage Borough. Aaron Morley made a late substitute appearance, while Gethin Jones missed the fixture due to international commitments.
Jonny Smith made Wigan Athletic’s starting line up, with his side drawing 1-1 against Burton Albion at the DW Stadium.
Luke Bolton and Elliot Lee featured for Wrexham in their big League Two promotion clash with Mansfield Town. The Red Dragons came out 2-0 victors at the Racecourse Ground. Bolton’s display earning him a place in the EFL League Two ‘Team of the Week’.
Ed Francis’ Gateshead carved out another win in the National League. They beat Rochdale 1-0 and move up to fourth place.
Saturday
Barrie McKay made a welcome comeback following his injury woes. He made a substitute appearance for Hearts in their 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock.
Also making his return to action was Martin Boyle after suffering concussion. Despite a spirited display his Hibernian side lost 3-1 at Rangers.
Easter Sunday
The early kick-off in the WSL saw Ella Toone score a brace in Manchester United’s emphatic 4-1 win against Everton. Toone became the first player to score 50 goals for the Club. Emma Bissell made a substitute appearance for the ‘The Toffees’.
