A late winner for Bolton Wanderers maintained their push for promotion in League One. Gethin Jones and Aaron Morley both completed 90 minutes of action in the 1-0 victory at Lincoln City.
Josh Earl’s Fleetwood Town battled to a point at Highbury. They drew 1-1 with Carlisle United in League One.
Wrexham edged out Swindon Town 1-0 in League Two, with Elliot Lee again catching the eye for the North Wales giants.
Crawley Town move up to 11th place in League Two following their 2-0 win at Gillingham. Ronan Darcy gave a great account of himself at The Priestfield.
In the National League; Tylor Golden and Jamie Stott helped Halifax Town to a 2-1 win at Altrincham. There was also a win for Josh Lundstram’s Oldham, while Ed Francis’ Gateshead picked up a point.
Wednesday
The showpiece game in Scotland took place in Edinburgh, where Hibernian welcomed city rivals Heart of Midlothian to Easter Road. An added time winner sealed victory for Hearts (1-0), with Barrie McKay and Martin Boyle both featuring.
Friday
Harry Souttar’s Leicester City stretched their lead at the top of the EFL Championship. They won 2-0 away at Cardiff City to go 8 points clear at the top of the table.
