Monday

Dion Pereira’s impact from the substitute’s bench gave fresh impetus to Dagenham & Redbridge’s search for an equaliser at The Den. However, two late goals condemned ‘The Daggers’ to a 3-0 defeat against Millwall in the FA Cup 3rd Round.

Tuesday

Jonny Smith added another assist to his ever growing collection. His Wigan Athletic side progress into the 4th Round of the FA Cup following a 2-0 win at Mansfield Town.

Bolton Wanderers edged past Lincoln City in the EFL Trophy. Gethin Jones completed 90 minutes in the 1-0 victory, while Aaron Morley was rested.

Jack Evans starred for Halifax Town in the National League. His side won 3-1 at Gateshead and sit outside the play-off spots on goal difference.

Also in England’s fifth tier; Tylor Golden’s early assist sent Altrincham on the way to a thumping 4-0 victory against Maidenhead United.

Wednesday

Callum Lang’s Portsmouth suffered a setback in their EFL Championship relegation battle. Pompey lost 3-0 at Blackburn Rovers. Youngster Matty Litherland was an unused Sub for Rovers.

Hannah Cain’s Leicester City cruised into the 5th round of the Women’s FA Cup thanks to a comprehensive 4-1 win against Stoke City.

Friday

Lucy Parry and Taylor Hinds starred for Liverpool in the WSL. The Reds beat Brighton 2-1 at the St Helens Stadium and move into the top half of the league table.

Saturday 

Callum Lang’s late assist earned Portsmouth all three points in their EFL Championship match against Middlesbrough. Pompey won 2-1 at Fratton Park to put their midweek disappointment behind them.

Striker Tyrese Campbell returned to action as a late substitute following injury. His Sheffield United side beat Norwich City 2-0 at Bramall Lane to go top of the EFL Championship. 

Coventry City beat Bristol City 1-0 at home in the Championship. Liam Kitching continues to justify his recall to the starting XI with another commanding defensive performance.

That man Martin Boyle was at it again for Hibernian north of the border. He scored a brace for the third successive game and notched an assist in the 3-0 win against Clydebank in the Scottish Cup.

Belfast born Ronan Hale scored for Ross County in the Scottish Cup 4th Round. Disappointingly though, The Staggieslost 3-2 after extra time at home to Livingston.

A late goal rescued a draw for Bolton Wanderers in League One. Gethin Jones and Aaron Morley both featured in the 2-2 draw with Cambridge United.

Defender Josh Earl scored a consolation goal for Barnsley in the defeat at Bristol Rovers. Jamie Lindsay made a late substitute appearance for the 3-1 victors, while Davis Keillor-Dunn started for the visitors.

Scott Smith and Jonny Smith were on the winning side in League One. Wigan Athletic carved out a 2-1 away win at Stevenage Borough.

In League Two; Aribim Pepple made his league debut for Chesterfield in the 1-1 draw at Grimsby Town.

Altrincham won 2-1 at Eastleigh on the south coast. Defensive stalwart Tylor Golden completed 90 minutes of action in the National League.

Sunday 

In the Women’s Super League; Bethany England and Ashleigh Neville featured in Tottenham Hotspur’s narrow 1-0 win at home to Leicester City.

Everton youngsters Issy Hobson and Ellie Jones gained more valuable first team experience for loan club Sheffield United in the Women’s Championship. They played out a 1-1 draw against Newcastle United. 

The final fixture of the weekend saw Ella Toone’s superb first half hat-trick clinch victory for Manchester United in the local derby match against City. Millie Turner also featured in the memorable 4-2 success. #FullNinetyFamily
