Liverpool born defender Tom Grivosti supplied an assist in St Patrick’s 3-1 win at Bohemians. Athletic move up to 4th place in the League of Ireland table as we reach the business end of the season. 

Tuesday

On the international stage; Harry Souttar’s colossal defensive performance earned Australia a credible 1-1 draw against Japan in their World Cup qualifier. The Socceroos occupy second place in AFC Group C.

Thursday 

Former Manchester City academy graduate Ed Francis inspired Exeter City to a 2-0 victory at Shrewsbury Town. The win propels ‘The Grecians’ up to 4th position in League One.

Friday

Leeds United ended Sheffield United’s unbeaten start to the EFL Championship season with a 2-0 win. Harry Souttar completed 90 minutes at Elland Road, while Tyrese Campbell made a 30 minute substitute appearance.

Tom Grivosti’s St Patrick’s Athletic continue their charge up the League of Ireland table. They beat Galway United 2-1 at Richmond Park.

Saturday

Callum Lang scored the winning goal at Loftus Road in the EFL Championship. His ice cold penalty-kick and man of the match performance earned Portsmouth a 2-1 win against Queens Park Rangers.

Manchester United battled to a 1-1 draw at Brighton & Hove Albion in the Women’s Super League. Ella Toone and Millie Turner both featured for ‘The Red Devils’ 

Barnsley collected all 3 points against Blackpool at Bloomfield Road. Davis Keillor-Dunn scored a first half goal, while Josh Earl impressed at the back in the 2-1 win.

Wycombe Wanderers secured another victory in their quest for promotion from League One. Aaron Morley’s performance was again pivotal in the 3-1 win against Peterborough United. 

Elliot Lee’s Wrexham beat Rotherham United 1-0 thanks to a first minute goal at the New York Stadium. The North Wales giants occupy second place in League One.

Ben Tollitt assisted a goal for Jamie Stott in League Two. It was the only highlight for Morecambe, who lost 3-1 at home to MK Dons.

Halifax Town dug out a 1-0 victory at Boston United in the National League. Jack Evans continues to dictate the play incentral midfield for ‘The Shaymen’.

Dion Pereira supplied an assist in Dagenham & Redbridge’s 4-0 hammering of AFC Fylde at Victoria Road.

Josh Lundstram’s Oldham Athletic cemented their position inthe National League play-off places with a 3-1 win at Sutton United.

Also in England’s fifth tier; Tylor Golden’s Altrincham collected a point in the 2-2 draw against Gateshead.

Sunday

Lucy Parry and Taylor Hinds featured for Liverpool in their WSL match at the St Helens Stadium. ‘The Reds’ drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace.

Tottenham Hotspur captain Bethany England and defender Ashleigh Neville suffered defeat in the evening fixture at Kingsmeadow. Spurs lost 5-2 against Chelsea. 

In the Women’s Championship; Martha Harris left Tara Bourne and Fran Stenson disappointed following Birmingham City’s 2-0 win at Southampton. #FullNinetyFamily
