A huge congratulations to Lioness Ella Toone who has been named in the 2023 FIFA FIFPRO World XI following a star studded awards night in London.

Tom Barkhuizen scored one goal and assisted another for Derby County as they continue their quest for League One promotion. The Rams left it late to beat Burton Albion 3-2 at Pride Park.

Tuesday

Bolton Wanderers pushed Premier League side Luton Town all the way in their FA Cup Third Round replay at the Toughsheet Stadium. Aaron Morley made a late appearance for ‘The Trotters’ who lost narrowly 2-1.

Thursday

The Socceroos had to work hard to maintain their 100% start to the AFC Asian Cup in Qatar. Australia held off Syria 1-0 toguarantee their progression into the knockout phase. The FullNinety contingent of Harry Souttar, Martin Boyle and Gethin Jones all made the starting XI inside the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.

Saturday 

Coventry City continued their terrific run of form by earning another 3 points in the EFL Championship. Liam Kitching’s side won 2-1 away at Sheffield Wednesday to move into the play-off places.

Rotherham United returned home after securing a 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough. Jamie Lindsay made a starting appearance in central midfield for ‘The Millers’.

Tyrese Campbell’s entrance from the substitute’s bench galvanised Stoke City into action at the Bet365 Stadium. The Potters halved a two goal deficit but went down 2-1 to Birmingham City.

Tom Barkhuizen’s Derby County could only muster a goalless draw at Lincoln City. However, ‘The Rams’ still occupy 3rdplace in League One.

Slipping to narrow defeats were Aaron Morley’s Bolton Wanderers, Josh Earl’s Fleetwood Town and Elliot Lee’s Wrexham.

Sunday

The Big WSL game took place at Stamford Bridge where Chelsea welcomed Manchester United. Ella Toone starred for United, although her side were beaten 3-1. 

Taylor Hinds opened the scoring with a sublime finish for Liverpool in their trip to Manchester City. Her goal proved to be the highlight for ‘The Reds’ who lost 5-1.

The final fixture of the weekend highlighted five FullNinety players. Bethany England, Ashleigh Neville and Kit Graham for Tottenham, while Kirsty Smith and Emma Harries featured for West Ham. Spurs held on to register a 4-3 win. #FullNinetyFamily
