Tuesday

The Socceroos travelled to the Middle East to face Bahrain in FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying. Hayden Matthews made his full senior international debut and partnered Harry Souttar in the defensive unit, while Martin Boyle was an unused substitute. Australia’s campaign remains on track after a 2-2 draw in AFC Group C. 

Wednesday

Manchester United won 2-0 away at Everton in the Continental Cup group stage. Millie Turner was the cornerstone at the back, while 19 year old Jessica Simpson made her debut as a second half substitute. 17 year old Issy Hobson gained more valuable first team experience for The Toffees by completing 90 minutes of action and Ellie Jones (17) made her competitive debut too.

Saturday

Tyrese Campbell’s hot goalscoring streak continued in the EFL Championship. The 24 year old scored his 4th goal in 5 games for Sheffield United in the 2-2 draw at Coventry City. Harry Souttar returned to domestic action for The Blades following his two appearances for Australia in World Cup 2026 qualifying.

Ronan Hale scored again for Ross County in the SPL. The Staggies beat Motherwell 2-1 in Dingwall. 

Wycombe Wanderers are reaping the rewards of recruiting Aaron Morley on loan. His sparkling form inspired a 3-2 win at Lincoln City, as they cement their position at the summit of League One.

The Trotters felt the benefit of Gethin Jones’ presence back in the side following his injury nightmare. His Bolton Wanderers side beat Blackpool 2-1 in League One.

Wrexham beat Exeter City 3-0 at the Racecourse Ground. Elliot Lee’s 7th minute corner was swept home to open the scoring, while Ed Francis featured for the visitors. 

Toby Mullarkey supplied the key assist for Crawley Town in their narrow 1-0 win against Rotherham United.

Also in League One; Jamie Lindsay’s Bristol Rovers dug out a 1-0 win at Mansfield Town, while Scott Smith and namesake Jonny both made a substitute appearances in Wigan Athletic’s 1-0 victory at Barnsley.

Ben Tollitt and Jamie Stott both scored inside the opening 15 minutes at Swindon. Ryan Delaney scored an equalising goal for Town before Morecambe grabbed a winner (2-3).

Sunday

Millie Turner’s Manchester United were unfortunate not to come away with a result at league leaders Chelsea in the WSL. Only a first half penalty could split the teams (1-0).

Taylor Hinds got a second half run out for Liverpool in their Continental Cup clash at Newcastle. The Reds hammered United 6-1.

Southampton took the bragging rights in the South Coast derby against arch enemies Portsmouth. Tara Bourne and Fran Stenson starred in the 4-0 victory at Westleigh Park.

Chloe Arthur’s Crystal Palace tasted a 2-0 success in their match against fellow South London outfit Charlton Athletic.

West Ham United beat London City Lionesses 4-1 with three FullNinety clients on display. Kirsty Smith, Emma Harries and Georgia Brougham all featured at Hayes Lane.

Also in the Continental Cup; Martha Harris was on the winning side as Birmingham City beat Bristol City 3-1, and Hannah Cain’s Leicester City beat Brighton on penalties.

The last game of the weekend saw Theo Sander start in goal again for FC Copenhagen, helping his side to a 2-1 victory that takes ‘FCK’ to the top of the Superligaen. #FullNinetyFamily
