Midfielder Josh Lundstram featured for Oldham Athletic in the National League. The Latics made the long trip to Eastleigh on the South coast and returned north with a 2-2 draw after trailing at half time.

Hibernian talisman Martin Boyle scored twice for ‘The Hibees’ at Easter Road in the SPL. It was another brace for the Australian international following his two goals against Rangers last time out. Hibs beat Motherwell 3-1 and move into the top half of the table.

Morecambe enjoyed a memorable day out at Stamford Bridge in the FA Cup 3rd Round. Jamie Stott and Ben Tollitt both gave excellent accounts of themselves, but were eventually undone 5-0 by a strong Chelsea line up. 

League One Exeter City dumped Championship side OxfordUnited out of the FA Cup at St James Park. Ed Francis was introduced as a half time substitute in the thoroughly deserved 3-1 victory.

Central defender Liam Kitching struck a first half goal forCoventry City in their FA Cup tie against Sheffield Wednesday. The Sky Blues came out on top in the penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw. 

Manchester United began their defence of the Women’s FA Cup with a 7-0 rout of West Bromwich Albion at Leigh Sports Village. Millie Turner marshalled the United defence to a clean sheet, while fellow Lioness Ella Toone scored on her return to action after injury.

Sunday

London City Lionesses made light work of their Women’s FA Cup 4th Round tie against Fulham. Georgia Brougham’s side recorded a comfortable 5-0 win at Craven Cottage.

Jamie Lindsay made a 15 minute substitute appearance at Portman Road in the FA Cup. A much changed Bristol Rovers side exit the competition following a 3-0 loss against Premier League outfit Ipswich Town. #FullNinetyFamily
