In the EFL Championship, Tyrese Campbell’s Sheffield United suffered a disappointment, with Derby County winning 3-1 at Bramall Lane.

Portsmouth endured a torrid afternoon at Birmingham City, losing 4-0. Hayden Matthews and Zac Swanson featured at St Andrews.

Martin Boyle scored for Hibernian in the 2-2 draw at Livingston. The point ensures Hibs maintain third place in the SPL.

In the FA Cup 1st Round, Davis Keillor-Dunn scored a brace to propel Barnsley into the next round. ‘The Tykes’ beat local rivals York City 3-2 at Oakwell.

Aaron Morley completed an encouraging 90 minutes in Bolton Wanderers’ 2-1 win against Huddersfield Town.

In the Women’s Super League, Arsenal had a comfortable 4-1 win against Leicester City. International players Hannah Cain and Taylor Hinds both featured at the King Power Stadium.

Manchester United won 3-2 away at Brighton & Hove Albion. Star player Ella Toone provided another assist.
