Tylor Golden’s Altrincham miss out and there was disappointment for loanee Dion Pereira, who’s Dagenham & Redbridge side were relegated.
Thursday
Sheffield United put themselves firmly in control of their EFLChampionship play-off semi-final tie against Bristol City. Tyrese Campbell was unfortunate to have a goal disallowed, but did make the key contribution which led to the opening goal (pen). ‘The Blades’ take a commanding 3-0 lead back to Bramall Lane for the second leg.
Friday
Liam Kitching’s Coventry will have to beat Sunderland at the Stadium of Light if they are to reach the Championship play-off final. A late goal condemned City to a 2-1 defeat at the CBS Arena.
Saturday
Martin Boyle’s sensational form this season continued at Celtic Park, where he scored his 18th goal of the season. The match ultimately ended in disappointment as Celtic fought back to beat Hibernian 3-1 in the SPL.
Manchester United concluded their season with a 4-3 loss at Arsenal. Ella Toone found the target for United and will be joined in next season’s Champions League by Millie Turner, after their side finished in third place in the WSL.
Welsh international Hannah Cain struck a brace for Leicester City in the 4-2 win against West Ham United at the King Power Stadium.
Bethany England, Ashleigh Neville and Issy Hobson represented the #FullNinetyFamily at Walton Hall Park, where Everton drew 1-1 with Tottenham Hotspur.
