Tuesday

Bolton Wanderers picked up a useful point in their quest for promotion. Aaron Morley’s men drew 0-0 with Derby County. Both sides occupy the League One play-off places.

Wednesday

Ace winger Barrie McKay scored a superb long range goal within a minute of his second half introduction at McDiarmid Park. Barrie’s strike proved to be the winner as Heart of Midlothian won 3-2 at St Johnstone. Hearts end the year positioned in 3rd place in the SPL.

Thursday

Both Callum Lang and Jamie Lindsay made EFL Championship starts for Wigan and Rotherham respectively, their sides slipping to disappointing defeats.

Key defender Liam Kitching popped up at the other end to supply an assist for Barnsley. They picked up another win, beating Fleetwood 2-1 in League One.

Salford City collected another 3 points with victory at Grimsby Town. Luke Bolton completed the 90 minutes during the 4-1 win.

Friday

Harry Souttar and Tyrese Campbell lined up for Stoke when they hosted Championship leaders Burnley at the Bet365 Stadium. City lost 1-0 despite their best efforts.

Bolton returned from Lincoln City with a point after an Aaron Morley assist secured a 1-1 draw. Wanderers are still in the hunt for promotion from League One.

Saturday

Jake Canavan and Ben Clark both helped themselves to a goal during The New Saints’ 8-0 mauling of Airbus UK Broughton. The reigning Welsh Champions are sitting pretty at the top of the League table.

New Years Day

Ben Tollitt featured for Oldham Athletic who recorded a credible 2-2 draw against National League leaders Notts County.

Halifax drew 2-2 with Altrincham at The Shay Stadium. Tylor Golden and Toby Mullarkey both completed the 90 minutes in an entertaining affair.

The FullNinety contingent of Aaron Holloway, Jack Evans and Ryan McLean returned from Kidderminster with a point to boost their Hereford side.

Monday

Barrie McKay’s Hearts claimed local derby bragging rights after beating Edinburgh rivals Hibernian 3-0 at Tynecastle Park.

A late goal scuppered Stoke at the Bet365 Stadium. Tyrese Campbell and Harry Souttar featured for City who narrowly lost 1-0 to Preston North End.

Bolton went to Barnsley and returned home with 3 points after a convincing 3-0 win. Aaron Morley and Gethin Jones were celebrating the victory, while Liam Kitching was left disappointed for Barnsley.

Wrexham keep the pressure on Notts County at the top of the National League. Elliot Lee was again influential in the 2-1 win against Solihull Moors. #FullNinetyFamily
