Tuesday

Jamie Lindsay took another step towards full fitness following his injury nightmare. He was an unused substitute as Rotherham earned a 2-2 draw with high flying Ipswich in the EFL Championship.

Aaron Morley struck the winning goal for Bolton Wanderers at Shrewsbury Town. The Trotters move up to 3rd place in League One after the 2-0 win. Welsh defender Gethin Jones also featured in the victory.

Callum Lang captained Wigan Athletic to a hard fought 2-1 home victory against League One promotion hopefuls Peterborough United.

Wednesday

Danish Superliga Champions FC Copenhagen welcomed Manchester United to the capital for their UEFA Champions League Group A match. 18 year old goalkeeper Theo Sander was named on the substitute’s bench as the hosts recorded a memorable 4-3 victory.

A late Taylor Hinds’ assist wasn’t enough for Liverpool in theWomen’s League Cup. They went down 4-3 against Manchester City. Lucy Parry also got a run out, as she gained some valuable first team experience.

Thursday

Lioness Ella Toone stepped off the bench for a much changed Manchester United side in the League Cup. They demolished Everton 7-0 with ‘Tooney’ supplying an assist.

Saturday

England got off to a flying start in the FIFA Under 17’s World Cup in Indonesia. Ishé Samuels-Smith marshalled the defence as his side cruised to a 10-0 victory against New Caledonia, in the Jakarta International Stadium. 

Jet-heeled winger Martin Boyle supplied the match winning assist for Hibernian in the SPL. They edged out Kilmarnock 1-0 at Easter Road.

A second half strike proved to be enough for Bolton Wanderers to win 1-0 against Blackpool. Gethin Jones and Aaron Morley combined to push ‘The Trotters’ to within a point of the top spot in League One.

There were comfortable 3-0 home wins for Tom Barkhuizen’sDerby County and Josh Earl’s Fleetwood Town in League One, while Callum Lang’s Wigan earned a 1-1 draw at Cheltenham. 

The Wrexham juggernaut continues to pick up results in League Two. Elliot Lee’s men beat Gillingham 2-0 to maintain their 2nd place position. 

Dan Pike stepped off the Tranmere Rovers’ bench andprovided an assist in their 3-0 victory against Forest Green Rovers at Prenton Park.

Gateshead hammered Dorking 6-0 in the National League. Ed Francis impressed as his side move into the play-off places.

Josh Lundstram completed 90 minutes for Oldham in their hard fought 1-1 draw with Eastleigh at Boundary Park.

Sunday

Manchester United dispatched West Ham United 5-0 in the FA Women’s Super League. Ella Toone claimed an assist for the victors, while Kirsty Smith and Emma Harries featured for West Ham.

Taylor Hinds’ Liverpool played out a 1-1 draw at Tottenham Hotspur. Kit Graham and Ashleigh Neville made up a trio of FullNinety players on display.

David Norman Jr lined up for St Patrick’s Athletic in the FAI Cup Final against Dublin rivals Bohemians. A vociferous record crowd of 43,881 packed into the Aviva Stadium to see Athletic win 3-1 and lift the trophy.

The final match match of the weekend saw Hannah Cain claim a first half assist for Leicester City. It proved to be only a consolation after they lost 6-2 against Arsenal. #FullNinetyFamily
